Creating Your Own Hotkeys In Blender

Posted on Posted in Blender Tip
Here is a quick demonstration of how you can create your own hotkeys in Blender by duplicating hotkeys which already exist and changing them. In this particular example we setup a new Zoom key to use in the 3D View. Keep in mind, that if another hotkey is already using the mouse clicks or keys you want to use for your hotkey, there may be a conflict.

This example was created to demonstrate what you would need to do to create your own zoom key for use with a stylus or digital tablet such as a Wacom… if you prefered to change Blender rather than your Wacom’s button settings as discussed in this video: Tablet Settings
