This is for people who downloaded Sensei Format 3 before January 31, 2014:
I previously thought version 2.69 of Blender contained some bugs in its drag and drop functionality. Turns out the bug responsible for this was on my side of things. Drag and Drop parenting now functions properly for both texture dropping and parenting. I’ve also updated a few materials included in the free material library. The sand has been greatly enhanced and looks much more realistic now. In addition, a few minor commands for animation playback have been improved. These are all documented in the PDF included in the download.
To install these updates just download this file,Sensei Format 3 and replace the folders “config” and “scripts” in the location explained in the first video of the Sensei Format 3 Training Series (located on the front page of Blendersensei.com). If that sounds confusing just go through all the steps in the first video again and you’ll be fine. If you’ve made changes to your layout, key configuration or other settings, be sure to save or export them under “User Preferences” so you can load them back up after updating.
Sensei Format was created to make Blender easier to use, but the process of creating over 40 tutorials for this series has added additional fire to the forge of edification for this system. I apologize for this inconvenience but am confident this will be the last major update for Sensei Format 3. I highly recommend re-installing Sensei Format 3 if you downloaded your copy before January 31, 2014.
